The original Stovepipe pants are the opposite of cigarette pants; in fact, they have more in common with today’s Straight-leg pants. Stovepipes are fitted in the waist and hips and very wide and straight all the way down the entire leg. (Like a stovepipe.) These were popular in the 1970s & the early 80s, and they were my favorites! Unfortunately, the “redone” versions that are made today have legs that are too skinny to be real stovepipe jeans…guess I will have to make my own!
