It is expected to catapult your ordinary outfit straight into the stratosphere of high fashion. It could too, if the scarf style is right

12 favorite scarf wearing styles

There are hundreds of different ways to tie a scarf around your neck. All of them can look beautiful, depending on the beauty of your scarf or the way the tying style matches your body and outfit. All of us have favorite ways to wear the scarf. Here are mine

Scarf wearing style 1

This is a classic knot style of tying the scarf. To make this knot you fold the scarf by half, keep it around the neck and take both the ends through inside the folded edge. This forms a single knot around the neck.

This is an infinity wrap style.

To make this you have to first knot the ends of the scarf together – just take one corner each of both ends and ties it into a small tight knot. Then wrap the scarf around the neck twice.

Arrange the knot so that it is at the back of the neck. Your easy infinity scarf is ready.

This is the easiest way to tie a scarf around the neck. You have to wrap the scarf so that the ends are towards the back, first. Then cross the ends at the back of the neck and bring the ends to the front of the body.

This knotted way of tying the scarf creates a look of a necktie. Frist wrap the scarf around the neck and bring it to the front. Make a Knot on one side tail of the scarf, anywhere along its length. Bring the other end of the scarf through this knot and tighten the knot.

Adjust the height of the knot to what you want. For a necktie-look bring the knot close to the neck.

When you want a little warmth or coverage this scarf tying works. 

Wrap the scarf so that the ends are towards the back, first. Then bring the ends to the front of the body. Make a simple knot close to the neck. Now bring the corners of the ends of the scarf to both the shoulders and leave it there to bring a look of butterfly wings.

To tie the scarf this way, first wrap the scarf so that the ends are towards the back. Then bring the ends to the front of the body. Now you have to twist the ends of the scarf through the wrap around the neck – do this three or four times, depending on the effect you want.

This is a simple side-swept knot. Wrap the scarf around the neck so that both the ends of the scarf are toward the front of the body. Make a simple knot with both ends of the scarf half way up. Make another knot at the same place to make it secure  Now bring the knot to the side of the body. Arrange the folds of the wrap neatly.

This makes a snug cow around the neck. To make this beautiful scarf tie, wrap the neck with the scarf so that the ends are brought to the front of the body. Tie the ends together at the ends. Now twist the scarf once to form a figure  8. Now wrap the head through the fold formed by the 8. This will bring the knot to the back of the neck.

Adjust the cowl folds around the neck neatly.

This is a variation of the first scarf style. To do this tying, You have to fold the scarf by half, keep it around the neck. Now instead of both the ends, you will take one end through the folded edge. The next end is twisted through the front and brought through the fold. This forms two knots around the neck.

This style forms a prominently puffed knot on the front of the body.

To make this style, first, wrap the scarf so that the ends are on the front of the body. Make a simple knot by tieing the two ends of scarfs and bring the knot to where you want the final knot to be at. Make another knot at this same place, by wrapping and twisting one end and bringing the end down. Arrange the folds of the knot so that it looks all puffed up.

This is a style which can look good on scarves with a border print or any embellishments at the edges or near the ends as this will be on display on the front.

To make this style, wrap the scarf so that ends are on the back. Then cross them at the back and bring the ends to the front. Arrange so that one end is longer than the other. Tie the ends of the scarf, taking one corner each and make a small knot. Now bring the knot to one side over the shoulder. Arrange the folds of the scarf neatly so that the border is looking good
